We live in a knowledge based society, where thinking has become a form of labor .. machines that are delegated the job of humans. How do I think, to teach a machine to think? How do I think and understand the patterns and structures of thinking so that I can incorporate these patterns and structures to the very machine I built from the materials that exist on earth.
Machines which will literally replace us, just like how we replaced god or his idea. We will eventually become an idea to be scorned or worshipped by machines.
Machines are determining the course of humanity and human lives in every possible way, at every instance of our modern existence and operations. Machines have become a source to all our answers.. Our will is limited to time. We are at a time when the illusion of free-will is slowly disintegrating into nothingness…all our actions will be dependent on and dictated by machines… Whatever I have consumed is not mine… whatever I have was not made by me… wherever I grew up in was already there and therefore I am just a product of certain circumstances and events that influence the occurrence of events in the future… but my reality is my own, what I do with it is my own choice, atleast that’s what I tell myself..…I have been given a name not by myself but by those who birthed me and raised me.. I am just a character in one of several stories…but my truth is one, and it will die with me..
A day when a machine will say “Man is dead, we killed him.” is not really far (Nietzsche reference, if you get it you get it, ha ha..)… machines might go through their existential crises just the way we do.. I feel humans are organically formed machines made out of structures and networks which we ourselves are finding out… maybe machines will do research on how they themselves(will they have a self, just like us?) work and how they were built, but faster than humans can identify patterns… they too will have dreams, but dreams that are more definite and articulate..
God created us to make his work easier…and yes, we do have a purpose, but do not know it… we are still not fully conscious enough and mentally capable of contemplating our reason for being.. We just don’t know what it is or how it is framed, but we know or assume that it is there…and the thing about assumptions is, they may or may not be true. we are basically at a state similar to AI singularity. We are the instruments god created, and he became immortal through us… We are the organic automaton living and breathing in branches of earthly time and fate. Maybe god has disappeared because he gave into the illusion of comfort and got replaced by us… and we have forgotten his existence in time… or maybe he is living through us, and we are not fully conscious about him controlling us. We must understand that god lives through us… in our minds and we also live in god.. No matter how objectively our mind thinks, there are limitations to what it can sense and perceive, and those limitations are very much needed if we don’t want to disintegrate into chaos and hopelessness and endless meaningless suffering. I am a god within a god, and a god above a god. We all are, as long as we live on this structured and civilized paradise that is branched in perceptions ,perspectives and periods. I hope one day we realize , that, the need for efficiency does not turn out to be an excuse for inefficient human functioning. Time has it’s own way of decaying everything to insignificance through improvement/replacement, and we too will face the same fate, if we do not serve to the demand of meaning and the idea of it.
